PREPARE/ENRICH NEWSLETTER – June 2010
Introducing the Customized Version (CV)
Greetings to all our users!
At the Prepare-Enrich office we’ve been working on a new enhanced online variant of the inventories – the Customized Version, and this newsletter offers you an introduction to this significant development.
Main features
The Customised Version gives you everything you’ve had before in a much improved presentation, plus some additional features. It allows routing for individual circumstances such as religion, and also provides new content for personality and stress factors.
All couples will answer five new personality scales called SCOPE (based on the Five Factor Model of Personality):
- Social
- Change
- Organized
- Pleasing
- Emotionally Steady
All couples will respond to a new Personal Stress Profile identifying:
- General level of personal stress
- Top 10 stressors
The cost of the Customised Version stays at £25 with the existing reduced bulk buy prepay options.
How to get started
The requirements for using the new system are reasonably basic - access to the internet, an email address and printing facilities for pdfs.
The UK website now includes access to the new Customized Version. From the home page go to the Practitioner area and then use the link to Customized Version in the left column. From here you can read or download a Transition Manual, which describes how to access the new version, and the new features in more detail. By actually logging in to the Customized Version you can also see sample versions of the much improved reports. You will find a FREE scoring in your account to enable you to try it out with either a real or a hypothetical couple. A full manual for the Customized Version is also available; contact the Office.
For a small number of people there will be a practitioner number change - where relevant we will email specific practitioners to this effect.
What about practitioners who want to continue using existing paper methods?
This option continues, although it is envisaged that over time many users will want to move across to the Customized Version.
Future training
It is planned that future training of new practitioners will be presented using the new Customized Version. For existing practitioners there is a useful training video on the Customized Version web site; if there is demand we will also run training sessions, so please contact the Office if you would welcome this.
Next steps in the development of CV
Language - we are working through the materials for the Customised Version and identifying any desirable change in language for the English users.
UK materials - we will develop the capacity to produce the materials locally
Package – our aim is to produce complete training packages on the adapted materials by the end of September 2010
Practitioners or Facilitators?
Throughout the information on the Customised Version the term facilitator is used in preference to practitioner which has been used in this country since Dr Peter Brown introduced the inventories in 1993. It’s our intention to start using the facilitator term in the future. What do you think?
Reactions
Please let us have any comments you want to make about the new process.
