Things to remember when sending inventories
Here are some points to remember when sending inventories for scoring!
Cost
Current cost for a single inventory is £25, by cheque to Prepare Enrich UK. Please include the cheque when you send the inventory for scoring. If you send a number of inventories in a year, you could consider pre-paying in multiples of 10 at a reduced rate. Contact us for prices.
Turn-round time
We can usually turn round inventories within two working days of receipt. Time in the post in both directions must be added to this, so realistically you should allow at least a week and preferably a fortnight before meeting the couple again. The most recent version of the answer sheet has a place to record your next meeting with the couple, to guide us on the urgency of your scoring - if you do not have this version, download it from here.
Postage matters
Postage rates
Under the Royal Mail pricing structure, a standard First or Second class stamp only covers items up to A5 and less than 50mm thick. Anything more than this counts as "Large" and should be stamped accordingly. Items with insufficient postage incur a charge on delivery and have been known to be delayed for up to 6 weeks.
Missing mail
Recently we have had a few items go missing in the post. Regrettably, we are now recommending that you take a copy of answer sheets before sending them to us, as it is very inconvenient to have to get the couple to complete them again.
Checking inventories
Before you send an inventory for scoring, please glance over it to make sure all the answers are legible. In some handwriting a "2", a "3" or a "5" written quickly can look very similar, but mean very different things! When someone changes their mind it is better to cross out the original answer and write the new one next to it, rather than trying to make an alteration. Also make sure you have completed the top section, particularly the inventory type.
Answer sheets
Please use the most recent version of the answer sheet. This is Copyright 2008, and has the Southampton address on it. You can download it from the Resources page. If you still have copies of any other version, especially the very old coloured ones, please get rid of them! Answer sheets sent to anywhere other than Southampton may not reach us.
